Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

If you’re like me, you may love using protein powder, but hate shelling out half of your usual grocery bill on it! My town just opened a Natural Grocers, which carries tons of protein powders, but I found that they also carried a plain whey protein concentrate. It came in a 1 lb bag for only about 6 dollars! I figured this would be a great opportunity to try making my own protein powder. I just mixed the whey with cocoa powder and stevia, and it tasted really great in my shakes and smoothies. I love that it’s only 3 simple and clean ingredients. I am so happy to finally have a clean, low carb, and very inexpensive protein powder. For this recipe, I used it to make my Chocolate Avocado Smoothie Bowl, which is quick and easy on a busy morning, and tastes like chocolate ice cream! On most mornings I just eat it straight out of the blender, but it’s fun to make smoothie bowls pretty when you have the time. Best of all, it is high in fiber and low in carbs, making it a filling and healthy way to start your day.
