Anticipated Expenses
Tuition: $12,500 incrementally as follows:
- Acceptance Deposit (non-refundable): $1500 applied toward tuition due at acceptance
- Tuition Payment 1: $3666 due December 15, 2025
- Tuition Payment 2: $3666 due January 15, 2026
- Tuition Payment 3: $3666 due February 15, 2026

The following list includes additional fees and costs that an intern may incur over the course of the internship. Please note that some of these costs are subject to change.
Technology requirements: $1500 if new equipment is required
Liability Insurance: approximately $35-50
Health Insurance: approximately $200 per month
Automobile insurance: approximately $125 per month
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Student Membership: $50
Background Check: $75 if practice site requires
RD Exam Prep Material: $350
All Access Dietetic Pass the Exam Prep text: $250 (optional but strongly recommended)
Transportation, gas, parking: cost varies
Vaccinations, drug screening, physical exam and any other onboarding documents (if required by rotation site): cost varies
LWDI is not an academic program and does not offer financial aid. No federal grants or other aid are available at LWDI. Prospective interns may find scholarship and financial aid opportunities through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Interns may be eligible to obtain loan deferment for student loans while enrolled in the program.
Interns opting to pursue the Master of Science degree with the University of Southern Mississippi or the University of North Florida while concurrently enrolled in the LWDI are eligible to apply for federal financial aid.
